Hi Everybody,
I would like to present and share my simulator.
The simulator based on the big work from the french team!
I linked the original projet on a xsim.de post:
http://www.x-sim.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=231#p1216
I made another post which gave some more informations :
http://www.x-sim.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=231#p1255
For the simulator design I used this post inspiring my simulator, because I wasn't having any place backside to the simulator
http://www.*.de/forum/2dof-redesigned-big-worm-gear-motor-sim-t3640.html
I use a DIY projector with HQI lamp which one I can't play many many hours without changing the lamp.
The lamp for a real projector is very expensive.I made my projector 3 years ago and now the projectors aren't expensive except changing the lamp.I 've got a screenplay with measurements 3m length x 1,7m high at a projection distance of about 4m.It's a pleasure doing by myself this projector like the simulator.

First of all a sketch from my simulator.

A real photo from the simulator.

The motors are bigworm (12v 180 Watt), which mounted in front side of the simulator.

For connecting all these things , you will find a picture .The main problem with this configuration happen when xsim shutt down if the motors are always powered.Even 0 volt comes iin sabertooth the motors start unexceptly. To avoid this problem , you just have to connect a simple car relay (12v 30A) in the Psu ground. To obtain the relay communtation you have to use a digital output from the k8055 and a little psu (domestic material charger) with 9 volt! You must write in synaptrix in each sequence block a line which say to commute in digit 1 the Output choose. When a problem happen (xsim stops) ,the digital output changes to zero and the relay cut the power.
I post below a youtube video showing this configuration.
Connection

The video :
Under the seat I mounted springs which helping the motors (full load more than 100kg).I puted in the alumium structure for my seat stop rod (2x2 legs)for in case the motors can't support the weight with dynamics effects. That prevent that I crash out from the simulator.
Under the seat:

The stop rod front and back:

Finally you can watch a little sequence from my son triyng to stay on the seat ! ;)

If you have some questions don't hesitate!
Regards
UPDATE 2/11/2012
After several weeks I decided to change the motors position because with lateral effect I didn't have enough stability(I was ejected from my seat :D )
I didn't change the position motor 90 ° reference to the axle simulator. The reason is that is this position with lateral effect all the forces are supported by the ball bearing gear shaft but only radial forces not axial force. If the motor would be in axle simulator in case lateral effect some forces would be supported in axial direction which was not good.

ok then 25 amps peak for a few seconds, JRKS run at 30 amps continuous. Peak at 49 amps for 6 seconds.

Hi Motiondave,

Look the first topic and the 4 pictures after UPDATE 2/11/2012. I increased the distance between the 2 motors .With this modification the simulator is much more stable.
I will put the picture before and After to see the difference.

Well done with the setup.
