You can increase the motor voltage but this can damage your hardware.
I think best solution stronger geared DC Motor.

Hi Monaco85!

You have several parameters:
in the code: PWMmax
your hardware: rod length (I would advice nothing more than 60mm).
your Xsim profil: increase the effects

Send us a video as we could judge according to your opinion ;-)

my pwm is 255
my rod length is 65mm

here a short Video. I think the Problem is that the wiper dont go to max and min.

in this Video i full accelerate and break.

Hi!

what kind of pot do you have ? single turn ? I bet your have multiturn...

Anyway, your solution lies into
Code: Select all
const int potMini=208;
const int potMaxi=815;

Increase Maxi and reduce Mini in order to increase the range of movment which is actually your problem (maybe not speed but range).

For information, did you follow these steps? to check if your sim hardware reaches full range?
First serial tests without Xsim
For beginning, start by sending yourself instructions to the Arduino and to your motors...
No need at this stage to use Xsim and Game's data !

In the "Serial Monitor" send the following strings in Hexa and Enter:
R7FL7F
-> it should move the playseat in horizontal position

R64L64
R3FL3F
R01L01 (max !!)
-> it should tilt the playseat backward and a bit further

R9BL9B
RC1LC1
RFFLFF (Max !!)
-> it should tilt the playseat forward and a bit further

You can mix for rolling movment :
R3FLC1
R01LFF (Max !!)
-> roll left

RC1L3F
RFFL01 (Max !!)
-> roll right

try this and modify potMaxi and PotMini to calibrate your sim

i have singleturn. I fixed it. i had wrong actor Settings in the x-sim converter.

The values wich were written automaticly were to high 800000. I set Maximum to 500000 and now it works nearly perfekt.

I like it very very much.
Thanks again for your playseat tutorial.

Now i have to fix a Problem with my Logitech g27. It will Crash after 3 minutes playing. and doesnt react anymore.

Mat why u using 2 PC's one for profiler and one sender ?

Is ist because your wheel crashs ?

i supplied the arduino now with external 5V. No change.

I finally use only a single PC. Two are just à bit easier for profile setting (but too much Wires and longer start up when i wanted to play)

No problem with my momo wheel neither with my DIY wheel...

hi,

I have use 2 pcs because I use the dirt3 game and the first pc has an I3 3240 cpu 4GB Ram and ssd 60GB
vga is GTX650
but at some sections when the cars is runnig ti seems that it stasck for a 1-2 seconds and the resume.
with 2 pcs there is no such a problem

the arduino power must be 12V because it has a IC to stabilize at 5v With 5V power you will have problems with the position of the motors.

yes
I make my setting and I have place at the attachment file
rename the file to rn2 because the site does not allow to aupload the rn2 extension So I rename it to .txt
I have use this file at my first simulator See then video at http://www.kalarakis.com/html/rali.html
