I also have one layout from a friend of other forum called yobuddy. When I receive components I'll do the necesari adaptations in my hardware to know what is the best solution for the inverters I have. This is the wiring diagram for the AC inverters:

The image is based on a AMC 1.5 EZ series that yobuddy did, take care of use PWM1, PWM2 and GND pins in your boards

PWM to Analog~EZ.jpg

There is also the layout in PDF format and component list ready for digikey order.
PWM to Analog~EZ_Layout.pdf
PWM to Analog~EZ - BOM.csv

Actually that schematic is wrong. Its intended for use with Uni-directional drive modes, that the PWM signal drives both speed and direction with center being at 2.5v. Using Bi-directional control method is more safer as the motor will be 0% speed if for some reason the AC drive is disconnected from the AMC1.6.

What schematic do you refer, both from vicpopo? the one I post is sure for uni directional.

vicpopo post two schemes, one in a special format and designed by a friend and other by your design.

Other design is from other forum. Components of current layouts not arrived jet for test.

I'm impatient for build this boards and test, The VFD also has PLC functions for controlling certains inputs and outputs. And yes, bi-directional control is my choice. Drive can use in1 and in2 for direction and pwm (in3) for speed.

No, read again... I not referring to Vicpopo schematic (it might be ok, haven't checked it yet)

Anybody has the same problem?
I´m testing with Xsim 3 and another old Xsim.

Hi,

Your ATmega1284p may be overclocking in-tolerate.

In that case you might have to use different crystal speed. Here is a compiled version for ATmega1284p and crystal 18.432Mhz:

FTISP for AMC1.6 1.1f atmega1284p 18.432Mhz.zip

Try it and let me *

Thanos

Ok I´ll try it today!!! I didn´t see this post! Thanks!!!!!
Is driving me crazy.....

Thanks Thanos you are the best!

It WORKS !!!!!!!!

With your firmware for AMC1.6 1.1f atmega1284p 18.432Mhz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only change the xtal and the new firmware!!!!!!
Works very nice!!!!!

I´ll start to work now!!!!!

What can I do to win a Xsim 3 code for full use?

Thanks again Thanos

Good to hear that ... and It' already working on a 24MHz crystal very good with the PWM_AMC15_2DOF_V1_CRYSTAL24.hex file .
but the problem in receiving the computer commands not always working ... :?:

So decided to move to the USB version

Speedy, the firmware you are referring is an outdated version of the obsolete board amc1.5 ... When I was developing that I was lucky with a good batch of atmega8535 chips that didn't seem to bother by the overclocking. After all these years, now, I prefer safety and stability and over all.

Greetings, :D
Well I just got finished with my new AMC 1.6 and I loaded up FTISP for AMC1.61.1f, and it loaded up fast. The LCD screen indicted all the usual things, however after powering down, and reapplying power I got nothing but the squares that were on it before I first loaded the program. I again loaded the program up, and still nothing but squares. I purchased two atmega644’s so I tried the other chip and it loaded up just fine. Once again all the usual things were there, after reapplying power I have nothing. Any ideas what is going on? Did I miss something? I'm at work and this is not the computer that has X-Sim3 on it...could that be the problem? When I power up the old AMC1.5, I get a full read out no matter if the device is connected to the computer or not!

Hi,
Try to adjudt the lcd contrast with the multi turn potentiometer at the bottom right on the board.
Sometimes it's the solution!

Greetings,
Thank you for your input. I tried the LCD pot, turning it down to where I couldn't see the squares, and I turned the opposite direction, in addition I tried putting the 3 jumpers next to the mosi, miso, and sck on/off and still no luck! See pictures.
