Frex hyper axis 100

hello all,

i'm going to build a 3dof motion sim, and now i'm searching for the right actuators. first i wanted to buy 3 scn 6 150 from frex (because of the low price), but then i saw this:

HyperAXIS100
Strong Lifting Power and Hi Speed Custom Actuator
Lifting capacy 100Kg
Stroke 100mm

unfortunately there's nothing said about the speed of this actuators - only hi speed... does anybody know how good they are? are ...

ServoCity Linear Actuator

Hi, new member in X-Sim and very impressed by the work of the community! I intend to build a 6DOF platform for Star Citizen, on the basis of the "Moog Platform". I'm doing research to find the best "low cost" electric linear actuator that can support enough weight for a Obutto R3volution cockpit (108 lbs) with me inside (220 lbs), the actuator of ServoCity reaches the target weight, but for speed... Do you think 2 ...

Pololu actuators with feedback

hello gents,
are these any good? linear actuator with feedback
of course, it would require a JRK controller.

thanks and cheers!

Low price actuator-controller set-up question

Hello everyone, this my first post on the forums and I would appreciate any input you might have.

First of all let me say that I have no technical or programming knowledge about simulators or their components. But I am a big fun of driving simulation and two of my closest friends happen to be very good at programming and engineering. I did ask them if they could put together and program an actuator-controller set ...

SCN5 orientation

Can SCN5 actuators be used in a horizontal position or must they be mounted vertically?

I haven't seen my motion sim design before. I don't have good drawings but it will be a zero C of G design. I wanted to get away from the 'nested boxes' - like the SC120. To visualize my idea think of a skate/snow board half pipe. The skateboard wheels would be roller blade wheels and I would only use ...

FrexGP Scn6 issue, HELP please¡¡¡¡

Good evening¡¡

I've purchased 3 SCN6 150mm actuators from Frex Japan. After their arrival I've tried to setup their ID and I'm having problems with two of them.

I'm using Dyadic original software to change their ID.
MVST2 ServoMotor Configurator

If I power on the communication box that contains the USB converter and the power suply, both faulty SCN6 controllers shows a Green light

but with one of them, whem I choose the com port ...

Help with actuator to my chassis :)

Hi:)

Do you know if its possible to get the D-Box type actuators, cheaper?
Or what the type is called?
I do not have enough for the actuators on Versaro's homepage http://www.vesaro.com/, but have a chassis I would love to put them on... :)

Actuators for 'Force Dynamics' style sim (SCN6?)

Hello folks,

I am investigating the possibility of starting a Force Dynamics style, 3 actuator sim project.

I've been looking at similar builds on here and elsewhere and it looks as though people are developing their own actuators when approaching this kind of design.

I'd rather avoid developing actuators myself (due to the complexity this will add to the project) and was wondering if anyone had an opinion on the viability of any existing available ...

DIY Actuator ?

Hi Spotted this

http://www.openbuilds.com/

Belt drive and acme screw drive possible, uses stepper motors, maybe use wiper motors?

Also a hardened edge that clamps to normal T slot.

question about %25 stroke limiter of scn5

I set the option "enable 25% stroke limiter to avoid damage in testmodes" in SCN5 plugin settings
But I'm not sure why it said "in testmodes",is it will not have 25% limiter in game?
If I set this option,is it mean I don't need to worry about the bad math setting to damage my SCN5?
