I introduced in the Newbee corner.
The Idea is to build a 3DOF Platform with Cessna 172 Hardware Cockpit for MSFS 2020.

First I downloaded the Instrument Panel ;)

Then I was beginning looking for Actuator. But all the recommended motors with wormgear or planetary gear is too expensive and ...

Team claim there products (2 and 3 DOF) "DOF Reality - The first and only affordable Motion Simulator Platform"

Does anyone have experience with this company and there Motion Simulator Platforms ?

I really love the solid design and ability combine all movements, something to copy for own designs. Almost every motor works on "rolling center, so forces for movement arent too big.
Action looks really cool.

Now, waiting for someone do the same for RC plane or Quadcopter maybe ;)


I would do it myself but at the moment I'm missing a platform and the quadcopter...
Anyone that has both and willing to give it a try?

Introducing 6DOF diy motion platform for soaring flight sim CONDOR.
Using motors from old household vacuum cleaners on 100V DC (PWM)
3 bicycle pumps for wight compensation.
Navigation by XCSOAR on PDA.

Here a 3DOF prototype from RaceStart, I tried in Paris during the "Mondial de la Simulation":


The total cost is around 25.000 € and I've been told that each actuator costs 5.000€ (they have been tailored on purpose).

The Heave feeling is very good!

the Cons
It's not good for small reactions
Too much angulations for my taste! :mrgreen:
It's rather noisy... ...

Hi Made a visit to the Ferrari Museum today, Had a look at the F1 simulator,

Hi to all,
we have adapted a very good and chip frex motion system on a cockpit formula.
The system work fine but we have movement too much hard and dry, no fluids like d-box, also working with their software simconbase the problem remains.
we want to know if it's possibile to improve this system perhaps using other software?
