News of Motion simulator designs

Hello everybody,

Last year I build 2DOF-simulator with my students. This simulator can be found here:

Now we are going to expand this simulator by placing it on top of a turningtable. You can find some pictures of the turningtable below and also the inventor-project. I'll keep it up to date and will also add information about the motor we aren using.

The motion sim from value1 (he was a great help for me) inspired me to design a heli sim with z-rotation. Here we go with a first try but it has much room for improvement.

I'm very interested in what you think, your opinion is desired!

I’ve purchased a pair (they can be returned) of Dimension Engineering, SyRen 50s. At first glance they appear like they might work with the Tronic’s 1.6 motion controller. It has DIP switch and can handle Serial, in both a packet mode and a simplified mode. The question is which would I use, or are these things not compatible with my motion contoller amc 1.6? ...

I have set a task to myself to build an Motion-Plattform. The height should not cross 500 mm, so that it fits in normal living rooms. Nevertheless, she must create 20 degrees. The maximum movement must last less than 1.25 seconds.
Because my Cessna cockpit weighs 300 kg without people, the engines must move at least 500 kg. The price may not be too high.

Im looking at fabricating a pivot point at the front of my rig and have the back run on bearings to give the traction loss effect.

i will do a 2 or 3dof in the future but at the moment my rig is too heavy (77kg without me), so i"ll start with this project to see how it all works and how i can adapt it all into a future build.

I'm looking for more realistic feedbacks in order to improve my driving "performance" ;-) and increase the immersion feeling.

Considering a load-cell brake pedal, it's lacking of feedback from the wheels and in particular when they are blocking...

If I can feel in my pedal when the wheels are blocked : I could release a bit of pressure and ...
