Build Your Own Ardruino 6DOF Motion Platform

Hi,
The guys at FullMotionDynamics really did a superb job.

Here are the instructions and parts lists for,

How to build an Arduino-powered 6DOF motion platform

This instructable will show you how to create your own six degree of freedom motion plat-
form using an Arduino microcontroller and some standard servo motors for ~$100. The
math/programming is somewhat complicated and will be covered ...

Alternate Wiper Motor approaches

One of the biggest challenges for a newcomer like myself, is working through the enormous amount of information that exists to come up with a design that suits one’s own specific needs within the many constraints of cost, quality, capability, time, personal preference, etc. At the same time most DIYers gain satisfaction from adding our own personal touches and sharing knowledge back to the community.

In doing this I have become curious as to the ...

maximising wipers using a mechanical trick??

Guys i saw day ago the nice design of Scottsim, http://www.x-sim.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=766
he called "wiper 2DOF for the heavier driver", he introduces an interestig concept the "lever to recuce wiper work" (new to my, maybe it was shown before)

the image Scott uploade was this Image

you can see how the actual weight is lifted by a vertical structure holding a lever...

my question is this: we all know that wipers are grate since they are ...

2DOF ARDUINO UNO R3 BASED SIM IN PROGESS

Hi Bob,
Finally I got my small scaled version working with your great help.Thank you very much for your cooperation,Now i have left with one Issue. After i click start on X_SIM converter i am able to get the values out for only about 5 seconds (not even at least 5 seconds to be sure) comport error pops up and data stops coming out even though i have replaced with the better cable as you ...

Driver position + body masses Driver position + body masses

Hi,

I want to open a sperate topic to this interesting area. BobBuilt translated a document (thx) and so I (and hopefully others) will continue here.

I often see comercial simrigs where you sit like it is a bus or a van. The pedals are way low. I really don't understand why so many people do that. Even in a VW Lupo I sit 'lower' than many (costly) simracing cockpit rigs you can buy. In ...
