How to choose a force feedback motor

Hi everyone, I'm looking to develop a fishing simulator. I wanted to create something similar to "SimFish"(video below min 12:00).
I had thought of using a motor to drive the line with a cylinder to emulate force feedback.

I would like your advice on where I can read more about which motors can be used for ffb, as the motor will be turning in the opposite direction of the engine most of the time (which ...

Linear motors for d-box style motion platform?

I want to buy/build linear motors (e.g. voice coil actuator) instead of using linear actuators for my d-box style motion platform.
Has anyone any experience or suggestions using these type of motors?
Thanks!

Will this motor suffice?

I'm building a 3DOF racing platform, and was searching for the right motors (i seem to have a real hard time finding motors, with enough power for a reasonable price)
I did find a 1.8Nm 3A Bipolair stepper motor of this size: 57x57x76mm
Attached is a Worm drive gear 20:1 with size: 97x80x63mm
With the motor and worm drive having a total length of 170.5mm
But it doesn't note the output torque from the stepper ...

100-300W Worm Gear Motor

Hey guys!

I need your advice and opinion please: I'm searching for a strong motor for a new G-Seat development I'm currently working on. Normal wiper motors do not have enough torque, so I'm thinking about buying some of these: http://r.ebay.com/3dtc09

They're chinese made and are available in 12V or 24V, from 100W to 300W and many different RPMs.

Does anybody have experience with this type of motors? I am greatful for any information or ...

Grounding of wiper motor

I am so glad you guys mentioned grounding of wiper motor.

I am still unsure how to do this. I found the german thread about it, but unfortunately I am still confused after using Google translate.

Mr. Bergison did give wonderful advice, but I am not quite sure how to not cause an Home insurance claim.

I understand if there is not wire connected to inner case then it is ok. I can then just ...

Motors running very hot. Any help Please.

I am having an ongoing problem with my motors getting super hot after about 4 to 5 minutes of operation. The motors operate correctly but they get crazy hot. I am using the sabertooth 2x60 hooked up to a 12v car battery with 8 gauge from the battery to the sabertooth and 8 gauge wire to the motors. I have tried as many things as I could but there must be something wrong. The motors ...
