News of Motors

Hi, i've got 2 wiper motors in my 2DOF sim controlled with 2 pololu jrks, the one used for the pitch runs ok in both direction, but the one used for the roll is powerful enough only in the normal direction, when reverting is very weak... i've checked the settings of the jrk and it's ok... what could be the issue? thank you for your help!

I am just about to upgrade my motors and purchase a pair of SCN6's 50kgf with 150mm travel. The million dollar question is do I order npn or pnp IO type. I already own a very good 10a 24v Calex PSU which should be man enough for both motors and was planning on buying some RS485 to USB adapters.

So back to the question, pnp or ...

I recently changed my wiper motors, for 2 big worm 200W 25:1 gear. (Motion Dynamics). i have 2 pololus jrk12. when i setup feedback limits, finaly they go beyond limits. cant hold the limits i set, so jrk throw error (feedback disconnect). with wiper motor this doesnt happen. Probably my new lever arms are to long, or my PID setting are wrong, tried 3\3 0\3 3\3 cycle 400.

I came across this website years ago and finally decided to build one. Just completed the structure, very excited to give it a go.
So, I plugged in my power to test Wiper motors (Sabertooth + Pots) but it doesn't seem to make any different in speed when I turn my pots? Any ideas?
NO, I haven't mounted my pots onto the structure(platform) yet. Just wanna make sure everything works b4 I break ...

In this days many projects has arise using 3dof, i saw them and they sams to be grate! all of them use big electric motors since the motors has to "carry" all the weight of the sim platform and the drivers weight...

on the other hand some months ago a guy published here that he made a 2dof sim, using 4 motor wipers, the guy never replayed questions but some of the community members agreed ...

Hello all. I'm planning to start building my motion platform soon. My build will be used for both driving and flying so I will need decent travel for the flying. This is a budget build so please keep cost in mind when giving advice.

guys, i am doing the first laps in my seat mover, using pololus jrk and wiper motors, the thing is tha one of them, is getting too hot, that much that i had to stop using the sim (i used for 30 mins)

bouth motors are different, but one is hot and the other is totally cool, any ideas?

both motors has a computer fan to help up cooling them
