Power supply shutting down

I have finally got everything working on my 2dof system. I have been powering it with a dc battery from a car which works fine. I planned on using a power supply with the battery to supply power but the problem I am having is the power supply shuts down with the battery connected. I am using a high end pc power supply that claims to provide max 60A on the 12v rail. I modded ...

Two power supply in Parallel.

Hello guys!

I have seen some people using two car batteries or a battery and a power supply in parallel, but I did not find anyone using two DC power supply. I already have two PS 24V 14.6A. Can I put them in parallel? I have to use some diode between them?

PSU and car battery in parallel

Hi everybody,

some advices in this forum regarding power supply solutions is to connect a car battery in parallel to a psu.

I have two 12V - 40A PSUs: http://r.ebay.com/zPzf45 and planned to power two 12V 30W wiper motors from each psu (four motors total).
As I found out during initial testing, the psu kind of shuts down after some turns of the motor!? :?

Power Supplies

I am now getting the electronic components for my build.
I have two of the three SCN5's 100 mm, and looking at power supplies.
My question is how to go with power supply. Do I need to go with individual units, one to each SCN5, or can I use a single unit, like this one:
http://www.meanwell.com/search/SP-240/SP-240-spec.pdf
The model I am looking at is tSP-240-24, 24v, 10A.
I will be ...

My power supply cosel-pba100f-24 found here- http://www.powergatellc.com/cosel-pba100f-24-n-power-supply.html has crapped itself. I have two SCN5's as originally from FREX.

I had posted elsewhere if my PC PSU would work but since figured out it wouldn't!

Any tech heads keen to let me know if ...

power supply for a fan system

Hi,
I use on my sim rig a fan system like here described in the forum with a 6v battery. My problem is to use the correct power supply for the battery. I connected a charging station from a helicopter modell but this was not really a perfect solution because it has an auto stop modus and is was not permanently connected. However this device is now damaged.
I assume I must have an another ...
