i used vtt or cars's motorwinch 12v. 50amp. (champions 2000pounds) and i use 2x25 sabertooth and it's not really enough  , when i adjust my PID more agressively i burn some fuses :x .
I have a good feeling but for a F1 car i thing it's not enough firm when racing on road's bump, i just ordered those new motor driver and that should be better ! :D

my next one will be 4 motors (with this one = not enough power at the rear compared to the front) and the front motors will be forward a bit ! :P

Looks good there , well done.
As for profiles, depends on what feedback setup you are using. Multiturns or 1/2-3/4 of a turn on a single turn pot will help with fine resolution.
You can get fine road vibration with a good profile tweak.
Spend some time on vertical and you may find what you are chasing.
In the Mean time, go hard.

You would need SCN6 actuators, i think they are rates at about 20-40 kg each, but EXPENSIVE!
If you are keen on a 4 DOF, consider 12v boat winches on each corner, sure they are noisy, but they should lift 100kg each easy. Considering they are rated to 900 kg each.
I use a converted brick actuator, but at $2000 each replacement, no thanks. They move 50 kg each easy.
the cheapest alternative I have found do far for these is $650 less motors.
Big worm gears may do it, but it hasnt been tested yet on a 4 DOF, however a spring underneath to help support the frame would overcome this.[/quote]

It look good your sim :

it would have been interesting to see it in motion !

nice job !

Hello ericracer, heres a video of my boy driving, so obviously he is not suited to the size of it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdWv8lMolac
and me driving earlier in the time before I did some more reinforcing mods http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sI5A9QU9GWw , you can see the flex in the frame it used to have.
As said in a previous post, they were by chance give to me .
Heres the post viewtopic.php?f=36&t=605

next step will be to build some DIY actuators as shown on the BFF site http://bffsimulation.com/linear-act.php .
these should move real well, but it will be some time before I get them built. They should cost me about $250-$300 each to build. But with 400mm throw at about 380mm per second using 12v motors, with a shorter throw of say 150mm, they should really snap with motion.
