Fsx motion platform

Postby kermit » Tue 18. Jun 2013, 22:57

Hi,
I'm Henk living in the Netherlands ,
And I have started a motion platform for a real Cessna 172 M cockpit section
I'm using 2 frequenty invertors , 2 ac 0,75 kw 3 ph 230 volt motors
For interface I'm using an Amc 1.6 and a board designed by vicpopo for opamp the 1-5 volt output to 0-10 volt,
I spend most of last weeks to try to drive the motor , but with no succes
I got excellent help from Thanos and have 1 of the motor turning

Hi, How can I test the AMC,
I have treid to fire up the AMC ,but can`t see any data change on LCD panel , when I rotate the pot
only % can I see to change from 5% to 95% but nothing else,
Also I have connected the Amc to frequentie inverter but no reaction from the motor
regards Henk

Turn on DIP SW1...

And make sure you have connected 3 potentiometers...

2 for the two motors position feedback, and 1 for the % limit in end positions of the potentiometer (to limit rotation to 180 degrees)

Hi Thanos did that, now I have
Y127h3 X127 0
Y7 X8 V11 JR 5%
when starting profiler the AMC starts up and down showing
22 pwm v1.1 h joyr 8 bit 2dof adc fb

and apart from a flashing red led
can`t see any changes when turning the axes pots, only the % pod
im the input set up I have an joy stick asigned and see the sender y and x numbers change

Hi Henk,

I think you loaded wrong firmware on the AMC1.6 you have. The 22 number indicates that the firmware you used is for 22.1184Mhz crystal.

I assume you are using 18.432Mhz crystal right? Then load the correct firmware using the "fw11h18.bat" !!

Some Atmega644 chips cannot run properly in 22.1184Mhz crystal. Even myself had that problem with certain batches of these chips. I think you should try installing a 18.432Mhz crystal instead and the corresponding firmware for that speed.

Hi Thanos ,
put in the 18 mhz crystal, and have used all afternoon to ajust the profiler but still o changing value s.

at start up
18 PMW v1.1h JoyR
8 bit 2 dof ADC FB

then AB__255__y__X
then

Y128 255 X128 255
Y7 X8 V11 JR 5%

And now I have a pop up that says at connection
Parser error check the uso parse strings
check used axis numbers and count

have axis Y a02 value 1x1+0
X a01 VALUE 1x1 +0

8 BIT BINARY OUT
Comport speed 115200 8 onestop
data pack with axisinfo AB~~255~~a01~~a02

At interface settings only input from usb yoke and
no outputs found on interfaces

Where can I check if the AMC 1.6 is working correctly and shows output values
I dont know what to do or start anymore ,
Have put a lot of cash and effort in to it but its still not working.
