3.0.2.9 AND Velleman Vm140 win 7

Hi,
I have a strange problem with version 3.0.2.9 and win 7 ultimate 32 bit,'
when using the old velleman driver from the disk ,
my PC can see the VM140 board , and works like a dream with the demo .
But when I delet the old driver and look for the driver from X-sim version 3.0.2.9 as stated in the manual,
I got a pop-up msg driver not found, after I install the driver from the disk again ,
And start the converter I look for the 8061 , I can find it in the list ,
But when clicking on the name , i have a pop up with a list of card names Card 00, 01, 02 ,etc.
BUT NONE OF THEM have a ticked box or can be ticked.
Going back to the demo software supplied with 3.0.2.9 I find card number 01 connected ????
Any ideas????????????
