New with XSIM- ILK Problem.

Postby elpadrino » Wed 6. Nov 2013, 03:36

Good night to all.

I'm looking to use the X-SIM software without success

Every time that I open the program appears a message that says

Found SCN5 Actuator, but emergency stop (ILK pin) was executed.

The actuator will ignored until ILK pin is tied to 24 V again.

I've tried to attach that ILK Pin (pin 8) directly to the power supply (24V) just to check if the system works but it not.

I Know that is better to fit a Zener Diode and a Resistor but for the moment, I just wanna see that the actuators works.

I've tried to change the Rs485-USB adapter for another with the same result. I'm using KMtronic Adapters.

Could you tell me what can be happen with it?

thank you

If you use a asian version SCN5,the ILK should not connect to 24v.it should be connect to 0v.

Yeeeesssss, you were right. Now it's working.

What kind of over power protection scheme may I use? or is it not necessary?
