Problem with comport

Postby thatsmaddog » Sun 27. Apr 2014, 11:02

Hey,

I set up the game DiRT3(Steam) and while driving i can see the values in outsimDirt2. Now i click on "Start" in X-Sim motion converter but it says:

Error opening USO comport COM6.
The comport is used by another plugin or USO entry. You may disable all interface plugins and try to clean all USO comports.
Another reason could be a short disconnect of the USB line by interferences of the motor.
You must also insure you are using the newest drivers.(FTDI, Prolific)

I'm using a Arduino UNO on COM6 and followed the steps in:
http://www.x-sim.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=155

There is no software open that uses a comport.

The x-sim software and DiRT3 all is installed on my laptop (Windows 8.1, with all updates).

Someone that know what i did do wrong?

Take this error message as it is, it is true.
Maybe you have an old autodetection firmware in the arduino and your arduino is in the interface setup listed or you have blocked your comport with the extractor OBD2 feature.
If not sure, simple use the x-sim registry cleaner to make a factory default.
If a answer is correct or did help you for a solution, please use the solve button.
