Assetto Corsa not working (Game paused?)

I bought a bass shaker the other day and hooked up everything and it works when I test it in the interface setup, but when I start it and run the extractor it doesn't respond in game. I believe the profile settings are correct since I used my brothers profile and his works just fine. I noticed that it does say something in outsim like "Game Paused" in the options and wont let me uncheck the box.

Has anyone come across this before?
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

Ok, so I did those steps and re-downloaded my brothers profile.
The "Exchange Dialog" box keeps coming up and if I hit "Try a
hardware rescan" it doesnt recognize it. It says the name of the
missing port is "Bass Shaker Frequency". The drop down list has
a lot of them for digital ports and two for midi bass shakers.
I'm not the smartest at this stuff, but none of those seem to
be what I need. Is there an option to turn off or do I have to
select one of those? It wont let me continue without selecting
one of those options.

I hooked his computer up to my bass shaker and the bass shaker
worked. It felt a little weak, but maybe it's the way I have it mounted.
Either way, it works with his settings on his computer. It doesnt work
with his settings on my computer. I dont really understand what's wrong.
