How to map stop button to our wheel button?

Postby boons4 » Wed 5. Sep 2012, 05:47

Hi guys or Dave ,
Hi guys when I am racing n happily enjoying xsim, suddenly someone bang my car n cause me to crash and roll n suddenly my motion chair rock so violently till I felt dangerous. I don't have the emergency power stop button. Hence if I can map the converter stop button to my wheel button it would be great. Do we need to write a script for it or a software to do it? Thanks so much pal!

Use the collision - threshold effect for the force you are using.
That allows you to soften the BLOW of a hit.
Then again...its part of the fun!
Dunno about action button, maybe someone else can advise.

Hi Dave and Bobbuilt, Thanks for the reply.

Hi Bobbuilt,
Can I check with you why we need to "alt tab" to bring out the converter/extractor again? As i did not run the game, my extractor and converter panel will stay on so basically i can just move my mouse to the respective software..As you said "dont run game".. I tried last night when i have wheel controller hook up, I press send data and check the "input". Somehow when i pressed the buttons on my Fanatec CSR wheel, none of the inputs no. in converter panel lights up... So i have no luck I guess. But Xsim did recognised that I am using a CSR Fanatec Wheel.

I also wish to ask if somehow we can't get our buttons on wheel recognised by xsim, Can i link this start/stop trigger to say the "enter" button on keyboard instead? The purpose is for the follows: Assuming i am racing now so i could not bring out the xsim software panel....Then suddenly i have a collision and the motion rig rocks like hell... I may have the chance to quickly press "ENTER" button on keyboard to cut of the motion instantly if the mappings work

Is this possible?

Thanks a lot for your kind advice.
