Traction loss (drift) Race07

Postby yokoyoko » Mon 1. Oct 2012, 22:21

I have now added a third degree of freedom for my Sim. Now I need some advice please on profiles Guru: sos:

The third dof is to serve as a "traction loss" module and works beautifully in iRacing. There I use 32nd effect

Now I would like to proceed in Race07 well. Unfortunately, this is apparently not supported by the game itself. I have also tried the yaw effect, but this seems not to be based on the coordinates of the vehicle, but on the track?
-> Does not work.

Is there a solution for this? traction or loss of "only" iRacing and rfactor?

Thanks in advance!

-------------------------------------------------------------

--> funktioniert nicht.

Gibt es hierzu eine Lösung? oder traction loss "nur" mit iracing und rfactor?

Vielen Dank im Voraus!

Use the graphic driver.

Hi Sirnoname,

thanks for the tip. Unfortunately I can't get it work. I open the Motion Driver Dialog and select the graphic driver. There I check on: "enable the graphic driver and overlay".

Now I open Race07 via the "play Game" button. The game config is windowed and v-sync is enabled.
When driving a straight line with acc and braking or cornering with same speed no values under step 1 - choose algorithm are changing? Just everything = 0.

Also the overlay does not seem to work. If I press scroll lock nothing appears. I tried f1-f12 and alot f4 :), too.

I'm sure I have a basic mistake - but read the manual now several times and tried everything again and again - no sucess. Any advice?

If important: Graphic card = Radeon 7770 @ 50hz 1280x720. Game set to fixed frames too.

Best regards
yoko

Is it a steam version?

Yes it is a steam version. But if this should be the prob. - I can test a (not steam) GTR2 version this evening.

Thanks for helping!

The problem is that the driver will be injected into the game executable. If you launch with a steam call you do not inject directly into the game executable.
Try to install the offline version and use the race executable. Another option would be to start steam executable from zero as the game executable and then launch the game with the hope the driver will notice the call.
Did not try this, however the driver is working with GTR2 and RACE07.
The driver is 6DOF, the plugins are only sometimes 6DOF. In case of the Race07 plugin it is possible to add the rotation drift but noone has requested this for *
