Hi, I had before such a double din CarPC with windows 7 but the design was not as good as with the radio and the climatronic is working not as good as with radio (FK2).
I use a 5" smartphone because I want all internet functions online, it will never sleep. It must have 8cm width and it will fit into the CD bag hole.

I use a special mod of the radio for the android device. The original radio amplifier is always active, also if the radio is not used. So I added a input directly to the amplifier chip. The S has a aux input but cannot mix to the radio (bad for navigation with radio). This will reduce the needed place, work and power.

I used the aux output of the radio, I put the radio in the trunk so I can use the steering wheel controls and a navigation system with speakers
