I am currently building 2DOF motion base and it is great to see this kind of community here. My work is more on the hardware side of things but I am also writing my own firmware. Hello everyone!

My name is Mathieu, I am 33 years old and after a long absence period, I am back on track(s)!
I did my first steps with X Sim (only bass shaker) on summer 2015, playing Project Cars (mainly F1 cars) and Elite Dangerous.
About a year later, I changed job and region (I am French and live in France), and it took me a while to get a new house and prepare the room to put my sim stuff in… Check!

This new year is starting well with my very first hours on Assetto Corsa and the RaceSimStudio F1 mods (still have to map and manage all controls). I also plan to get back to Elite Dangerous soon.

I am using a homemade static cockpit (I’ll try to post some pictures later) with:

- Fanatec wheel (base v2) and pedals (v3) set for car racing
- Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog set + Saitek rudder pedals for Elite
- Buttkicker for engine vibrations
- Track IR system

Although I wish I could make a dynamic simulator with actuators, I am unfortunately running after time and probably won’t be able to run such a project this year.

However I am really impressed with the simulators, software and different systems the community members have built. Big Well done and Thanks to all for creating this great stuff, sharing information, hundreds/thousands hours of work, therefore making home simulation possible.
