Hello Community,
My Name is Jeff and I'm from Luxembourg and I'm 41 years old. I like sim racing, even if I don't have the time to do it on a high Level. Step by step, I've improved my setup and I have now a Fanatec Racing setup and an Oculus Rift.
I would like to do the next step and add some motion to the experience. As I know, that I won't have a lot of time to play, I would like to keep the project's budget as low as possible.
I've started to use a micro:bit. I'm not a big programmer and I like the graphical programming. I was wondering, if I could use it toghether with x-sim to control a simulator. As I am mechanical engineer, I'm trying to use 6 windscreen wiper motors for a 6DOF. I know, this will be a lot of stress for the motors, that's why I will try to use a kind of spring mechanism to take the static load and the windscreen wipers will only need to handle the acceleration/deceleration forces. In addition to this, I would like to see if I can find a way to have home made motor controllers that can hande the required current. I'll see, how I can solve this.
But before constructing, I would like to manage to control a few small servos with the micro:bit. Any help on that point is highly appreciated.
Have fun.
Jeff
