Hi There!!

I am building a 2DOF seat mover. I am only just off the starting blocks. I have chair and welded up top frame - bottom frame tomorrow! I am now looking for a good universal joint (UJ) solution to attach the 2 frames together. I was going to use a 1/2" socket set UJ, but am now wondering if it will be strong enough... the Auto/Prop shaft UJ some people have on here look great.

I do not have a PC and am currently running Gran Turismo 6 on Playstation 3. I know that this is not supported, but I figured I would get the rig built and worry about PC/software later. I was going to write my own arduino software and take the data from the pedals for pitch and from the on-screen Gforce display for roll. So I don't know if the software here will be of any use to me.

Can it accept raw analogue data inputs?

Glad to hear anyone's input.

Hello to all members.
I am new here I have built a successful 3DOF sim that I enjoyed very much.
The new project is a 6DOF sim and have just started the build so I hope for the best.

Great news getting started.
I did a 3 DOF a few years ago and I used a joint from a steering linkage I got from a wreckers yard and it works very well.
Cheers

Hello to all @ X-Sim.de-Forum,
I am from south Brazil (Porto Alegre) and I have used X-plane 11 for years.
Now I am changing to MSFS2020 and I am "crazy" with the new graphics and possibilities.
I like very much to learn how, and to do my projects.
My experience with robotics is only : I made my own 3d printer (RepRAP -very easy...I *..), and I made my drones by myself.
I am Mechanical Engineer, but I don't have experience with stewart platform, but my dream is to make my own home simulator cockpit
I will need all help from you guys, sorry...kkkk

Hey X-Sim Team,

Greeting from Australia! Looking to dip my toes into the X-sim magic and try my hand at finishing off an arcade machine build so I can integrate some Symproject gauges into the mix to give it a little more immersion.

Looking for advice and tips and hopefully I will be able to contribute as well!

Talk soon. :D
