Hello everyone, my name is Daniel, I live in Argentina and I am an "amateur pilot" using simulators since they came out on the market. I had my time of Rally and racing, but finally - although I still use them, these last ten years I have been fully dedicated to flight simulators with X-plane (from version 9 to the latest) and with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 since It came out in August of that year.
I am already a "senior" of 66 years but I do not lose the desire to do things, I work in computer science and I am quite active, I like creation and manufacturing activities.
I have worked a bit with Arduino using the SIMVIM project as a base (an instrument panel with all the keys to activate the functions as seen on the airplane panels) but it only works for X-Plane, and since I am now in FS2020 and I don't think it will return to the other simulator that project has been archived
My idea is to have a 3-axis motion platform and make it suitable for FS2020.
Although they have started to sell where I live, the prices are extremely high, especially in a country with almost 50% annual inflation where everything is extremely difficult for those of us who work on any project.
For this reason, and despite the fact that I saw this forum a long time ago, I decided to enter again to see the possibilities of adapting a system that is shown for racing games in this case for an airplane (they are the same basic movements, Roll/Pitch/ Yaw) with materials that are easily available in the market or that I can make myself by cutting and welding structural iron pipes, planes and angles.
Well friends, with this I think I have introduced myself, I remain available for any questions about my person or project and I very willingly accept your advice and project links that you consider useful for me to start seeing. Thank you very much for accepting me. Grettings from South of Argentina!
