Hardware, scan the projects.
Software, its right here and being advanced all the time, especially the graphics driver, which needs a stage 2 key to use.

Hi Folks,
I'm Tom from Montgomery, Alabama, USA. Been registered for a couple of weeks and am really enjoying the education I am getting and realizing I'm in
deep over my head on the hookup and software.
I'm going to start a CKAS "type" platform simulator with AC Motors for primarily Flight Sim (for me) and Racing for my grandkids.
I will start posting pics when the build starts and hopefully you "guru's" will help me when it comes to the right equipment for running the sim.
Keep up the great work and "Thank you!"

Hi everybody!

came upon a motion simulator movie on youtube, than started to look further and eventually stambled on this website!

I am from the Netherlands just like Floriske and Arno from a few posts higher up. And very pleased that i found this forum.

I am a real life racer(amateur) so i am looking forward to make a motion sim. I race a Stockcar F2,
heres a few movies that explain. Is an open wheel formule on short ovals(approx 350-450 meter ovals) and you have bumpers for improving positions during corners. the best drivers always start at the back except during big finals(world final etc). you can see grades by the aerofoil color(white(novice) than yellow, blue, red and superstar(red with flashing lights). they race tarmac and shale). approx 640-700 kilograms and 160-170 horsepower.

So here comes my race interest from. I current run a Logitech G27. I had a playseat but sold that.
Was first looking for a buttkicker but than i found motion sim and this is way cooler!

I am planning on making a 2DOF with an aluminum raceseat and wipermotors a little bit based on floriske's seat. I am getting the seat somewhere near 20 august.
I hope to have a good built and i am planning on making a topic so you can all follow the progress.

Any questions just ask me.

Hope to have a good response and help where needed.

Cheers,

Michael

Hello

My name is Julio, I am from Venezuela, I am Mechanical Engineer and I am very inspired by all of you and this site. I was visiting this site for about a year intermittently, and every time I see amazing things here, I think that I do not have enough electronic skills to do my own 3 DOF simulator, but now I am very sure that I can do it with your help, and I hope to be useful for others to.

The thing is, I want to build one 2 or 3 DOF platform to be used by the kids on the neighborhood, I have a very clear idea of the mechanical design, the electronic design, the all parts and components involved, but I do not "very clear" about how to program the motor controllers like VM110N. I was thinking in start with a model and then build it in a real scale (save money), so I will start soon.

thank you in advance for the inspiration, the information, the good ideas and the very nice treatment.

Use Pololu JRK, a lot easier to control , one per motor. http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/1393
