Hello everyone, my name is Des and I am a 61 year old Software Developer from Cairns Australia. I haven't been involved with motion simulators before until my friend Mark a travel agent and hobbyist/handyman wanted to build one. He has good mechanical engineering knowledge and contacted me to see if I was interested in helping handling the software and interface side. This excited me and I started my research which led me to this forum. At this stage we are at the concept and design stage to draw up some plans on what we want to build.

I am looking forward to reading, learning new skills and contributing to this forum.

hello everyone! trying to build a simulator, such hard stuff

I thought I had been here before but I must have gotten weeded out along the way somewhere.

Plan to build a 2DoF/GS 4 seat rig. Will probably buy the 2DoF rig and will have to build the GS 4 seat, ala bergison (but lighter, not wood). Weak in the electronics/programming/interface department which is why I'm here. I'm sure I'll be asking for help once I get going.
