pivot, kardarngelenk ect.

Postby seppel » Sun 10. Feb 2013, 16:50

hi

after a failed search in the web for a good pivot i need your help.
i searched several sites but i don´t know if these parts are the right ones
for example:
http://www.maedler.de/Product/1643/1626/589/594.aspx
http://de.misumi-ec.com/eu/ItemDetail/10300280460.html

in a tutorial on http://www.*/wiki/Racing_S ... y_Mr.Burns there is a shop in the states http://www.vibrationmounts.com/Store.as ... ducts2.htm which sells these pivots.
on the first look these pivots are similar to those on maedler or misumi, but i need to know if someone use this products and if they are good for my purposes. i don´t want to order a pivot from usa for 12$ plus shipping if i can get one from a european shop.
the pivot need to carry a max weight 150kg.

maybe someone got experience with these pivots or can give me a wink for another european shop.

thx for the trouble Thanks

seppel

Why no simple and easy gumm buffer with easy mountable screws?

I also use a simply gumm buffer with 65° shore hardness and max static weight of 95kg. Under full pressure it compresses 6,5mm. Very nice motion for a seat mover with this rubber parts. Specially bumps and co become more realistic than with an metal pivot. I tried both and prefer def. the gumm solution.

Here is a link of the manufact. I use: http://www.nettervibration.com/de/produkte/index.html you will have to look at "zubehör". A bit more expensive (~15€) than the one sirnoname posted but outstanding quality in vulcanising between the metal and gumm.

If you want to go the metal way: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAND-ROVER-DEFENDER-LOWER-STG-COLUMN-UNIVERSAL-JOINT-/370495297265?_trksid=p2047675.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D11%26meid%3D5499589282540787905%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D1005%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D370384010828%26 this land rover defender part you can use. Or go to the junkyard and have a search in the area of steering racks and pop/driving shafts.

I have took say that if you use the gumm solution you will have to prevent the seat (or platform) from rotating. The gum one more degree of freedom than you want -> the rotation. But it is easy to do so - have a look around here in the forum ;)

The maedler units u choose - in the catalog is said that even the smallest unit (KA 090) is ready for a static weight of 630kg and the other up to 4000kg... I think these parts are to "hard" for enough movement without stressing your actuators more than needed?! But I kust guess.

Because of you choosed maedler as shop, I expect you are german? Try a google search on "schwingmetall lager"

thats the point yokoyoko!! i dont want to stress the actuators, they should move me and my seat :) i think this is a important topic for building a simulator. without the right pivot the sim is cra...
so i want to check out these two solutions

http://www.kippwerk.de/App/WebObjects/X ... 2&x=13&y=7
i dont know how much weight load they can handel but i will see

http://www.reiff-tpshop.de/shop/de/schw ... ement.html
i want to use the 66250 in "mittel" (55°shore)

if it works i let u know :)

For 150kg I would go for the 65° shore version of the second link. I don't think the part of the first link will work.

Have you thought about these? http://www.reiff-tpshop.de/shop/de/schwingungs-brdaempfungselemente/gummi-metall-puffer/

ok so i order the 65° shore version. thx !!

yes sure, but this ones http://www.reiff-tpshop.de/shop/de/schw ... ll-puffer/ are harder to mount on my alu-profiles. in that case i must drill a hole but i took the easy way. therefor the "hut element" is better.

and yoko yes i´m german :)

Hi,

ich nehme an du nutzt die normalen Aluprofile mit Nut 8 oder Nut 10. Schau mal nach "Hammermuttern" für diese Profile. Dasmit gehts recht einfach.
http://www.motedis.com/shop/Nutprofil-Zubehoer/Zubehoer-45-B-Typ-Nut-10/Hammerschraube-N10-B-Type::631.html

I'm assuming you use the normal aluminum profiles with groove 8 or groove 10. Look for "hammer nuts" for these profiles. So goes pretty easy.
