Hello,

I've had the same situation with arduino (open source version) :
http://www.x-sim.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=723&start=130#p7210

I was thinking on Thanos's dual h-bridge building, but I may have the same again. Hmm, yes it seems pololu jrk12v is the best option for me too.

when i tried it with 12v 1,5 amperes the pontesiometer was turning around left and right propertlyand it was working just fine. !when i tried the 12v 30 amperes the smoke was there !! i isolated with http://www.ebay.com/itm/Opto-isolator-B ... 3f2100912c .

Well, I was testing it on my desk. Yes, they need to be isolated properly. My motors have current on the their housing. Hence my motor holders, as well as the rods which move the seat are also isolated.
It was suspicious that maybe from the pot could somehow a short circuit came. Well, I did some check with a multimeter but nothing I found. And perhaps if from the pot came some big current the Arduino would blow too. But the Arduino looks fine, converter.exe still accepts and get knows it.
You know after having this, I really have afraid of burning something more expensive modul like pololu. I'm also think on to make Thanos's Dual H-Bridge, and if something goes wrong I would still able to repair (hopefully).

That is true, his bridge has quick mounted transistors. But the spare parts are expensive (~5€ per MOSFET here at Reichelt).
You need a good heat sink if you use 30 Amperes, else it burns.
Which heat sink did you mount?
If the arduino UNO outputs get defective (tested i.e. with LED's), you simple buy a atmel 328p and build a serial port cable (=programmer) to get the arduino bootloader on it. Then you can plug it into the board again.
If a answer is correct or did help you for a solution, please use the solve button.

i put a aluminium piece on the bridges,i had ready the fans !! i was tryuing to see if it will works for a moment and after run the fans and everything but the smoke catch me up !!hahha !!! to order anything is dificult.i live in greece and they dont have nothing from spare parts,i must buy everything from e bay,2-3 weeks to wait etc.
anyway,i ll give it a try with jrk i hope i ll get best results and i ll will need your help again i m sure !!haha !!

JRK's are good for 30 amps continuous, but HEAT SINK THE BIG CHIP! Put a fan to blow cool air on it and it will run fine.
