Dirt Rally (Extractor) Problem solved with post #19971

Hello,

my name is Stefan i want to upgrade my Rig for Dirt Rally with a Buttkicker. Until now i used the ingame sound, but this solution is not the best. Over another Racing

Forum i went here. My Problem: The Converter gets no Data from the Extractor, only wheelmovement (G25).

I Start completly from beginning:

Install X-sim

- Start extractor with Admin rights
- Add the game, the auto search doesnt Work for Dirt Rally so i have to manuall add it:
- drt.exe
- as Plugin i took "Codemaster"
- Callparameter: steam://rungameid/310560

Then i Click on right side on Drt.exe and a popup asks me:
"Codemaster, There is a official game plugin detected for this game executable.Do you like to activate/change this Plugin in the motion driver dialog?"
-> YES

Automatically Setup?
-> YES



as input i use my G25, than i create a Profile.






Changes in Dirt Rally XML:
I have two XML-files, dont know why there are two of them.
D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DiRT Rally\system
C:\Users\Argon\Documents\My Games\DiRT Rally\hardwaresettings

Both are identical and i added/changed:

Now we are Ready for a first Start, in the Extractor i Hit "Play Game" and a woman says "Game detected"
When i drive i change to Converter and start, and look at the inputs, but the values for speed/gear arent changing.
the window "outsimDirt2" is always "Game Paused" and the values are all zero.
the Window Says: Send to IP: 127.0.0.1 port: 20777
and Listening Port: 20778


I dont know where i have to search my error. What Means Listening port? Do i have the Right Plugin? A lot of Codemaster Games use LiveforSpeed, but with this Plugin it also failed. (also changed the ports). Do i have the Plugin manually?

So many Questions , I hope someone can Help or can give me a hint where i have to search.

After 8 Hours sleep and look from the distance i got it working.

Solution for all Dirt Rally Player: You have to change the Port in the XML File to 20778.

Maybe, in the "Supported Games" section we can add Dirt Rally with the Codemasters Plugin and the Port 20778 to add. Would be nice

Thanks for the information i just solved extractor problem for my bass shaker setup a week ago (Project cars game)

in these days ill setup them for dirt rally.. I'm planning two steps to finalize my setup a handbrake and Htc vive..

20778 is only if you accidential enable the port forwarding/multiplier in the plugin (Task bar). You should set it back to 20777.
