Tnxs for the tips guys!

Pedal movement is something to think about, I was thinking about moving the frame itself but that affects the point of balance, we will see....

The pololu's arrived from Germany finally an some other parts are arrived. This week I will finish the adjustable shifter, update is coming a.s.a.p.

What would be the best place to position the motors? In the front (behind/ under the pedals) or the back (behind/ under the seat)?

Either is fine depending on your actual weight. I have run motors under the back, under the front and at the foot level. All work good.
Although, if you weigh over 120kg, I recommend motors either at shoulders at the back or as far forward as you can go. Somewhere between knees and feet.

I'm about 80kg so that would mean that it makes no difference :) . I will see how much space there is left after i found the correct place for the pivot.

Hi Yoko!

Thank you for the information. My current frame is build out of steel. I still need to make a frame for my 23" Lcd monitor, this material may be a good alternative. (The monitor will not be on the sim, and I don't like a table for it)

I will take a look at it!

I live nearby Arnhem, next to Emmerich am Rhein and Kleve.

Hi Arno,

here is the link (maybe it eases your search) http://www.ebay.de/itm/ALU-Profil-Aluprofil-30x30-Profile-Aluminium-Solar-PVA-/260399070008?pt=Rohstoffe_Materialien&hash=item3ca0fe7b38. If you just want to use it for single/tripple screen mounting I think 30x30mm is really strong enough. I mounted a 50" Tv to a 45x45mm profile and it is rocksolid in about 120cm height!

you will also need:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Aluprofil-10x-Befestigungsmaterial-Winkel-30x30-/380320575136?pt=Rohstoffe_Materialien&hash=item588cdf6ea0

The seller say's "ship to europe". My parts came with https://gls-group.eu/DE/de/home and I think just a tv stand will weight about 5kg.

I googled for cost's. I'm sorry but couldn't find pricing of GLS. But DHL (similar to GLS) will "only" take ~20€ for shipping to your home. I think GLS will be the same. Otherwise "Blankmt" will ship per DHL for sure.

Best regards yoko

Hi Yoko!

Tnxs for the info, great! I will definitely go for that material in a few months. How did you mount your TV?

For now i buyed a table from Ikea (15 euro :P ) http://www.ikea.com/nl/nl/catalog/products/50176515/. This will be a temporary solution offcouse.

Update is coming soon here, the seat and frame is ready to mount and all the parts are delivered. Now I just have to find some time...

UPDATE! :D

I did a lot of work the past week(s) on the race simulator. Also all the parts are arrived!

I found some cheap, but good speakers and the Pololu's where arrived
313

314

All the pins are solderd after waching tutorials at Youtube :?
316

Fusebox with 30A fuses:
315

The plexiglass parts for making a custom box with fans for cooling the JRK's and some strokes for the pots
317

Some extra cheap pots, i'm not sure if I will use these.
318

319

Heatsinks for the JRK's, these are northbridge coolers from Zalman. They are to big, so they have te be cut to size.
320

Next the frame again. The mounting for the pedals is on the frame itself. I will just move the whole frame back or forward to adjust it.
321 322

323 324

325 326

The shiter will be adjustable and will be mounted onto the seat frame.
327 328

329 330

Cut some 12mm birchwood to size:
331

Ready :D
332 333

18mm birchwood for the base
335

For mounting the pedals and the wheel I also cut out some 12mm plywood to size:
336 337

338 339

I couldn't wait to get the G27 on, so here it is:
340 341

342 343

344 345

Next thing is to get the seat done. I buyed foam that is cut to size and in 2 different densities.
334

346

Glued it on with some hot glue.
347 348

New red fabric :D Damn... that was a ^%#$%@ work.
349 350

351 352

Thats it for now :)

Grtz,
Arno
