I have solved the problem
I stare for a long time on the programet and so i did see the pins I needed

but I use some pritty big mortor and I do not know if roboclaw 2x60a can handle them

As mentioned it many many times stops and starts during a game

sincerely,

well done! it's good to find by itself ;-)

high amp H-bridge are always a pb... if you roboclaw can handle it, you can use 24V motors to reduce the amps ?!

Hi. Congratulations for this great creation!! I have seen your motion platform for months and now I am trying to build one. Today I got the psu the same one you have. Please can you tell me how I have to connect the pins? I have no idea about the psu pins layout.
Best Wishes
Alex

Hello Alexcaires!

Glad you like my sim! I wish you to have much fun building your own! :D

Did you notice these links in the first post ? The layout is shown.
eBay, the DPS-600bp model is 30 € with shipping: 575W
The mod is very light! https://sites.google.com/site/tjinguyte ... ects/HP47A ad here http://www.worldwidedx.com/general-ham- ... cheap.html
There is not need to open the block and therefore no risk of electric shock.

the first link needs to be registered but on the second site, you can see the pinout and what you need to do!

yours
Mat ;)

Hello everyone!

First, give thanks to RacingMat for this excelent work.

I just bought mentioned PSU and motor on the first page, also an arduino and a motoshield.

I see that motor is 24v, but PSU is 12v. ¿ Any problem with this ? ¿Just less power?

Motoshield is max 16v capable so using two PSUs its not posible.

Also i see on one page given here that there is an option of increase voltage with this PSU:

Putting a 1K ohm pot between 3-9 allows for output voltage adjustment up to 13.8V

¿Its worth it?

Thanks

You're welcome Arkaitz!
Thank you for your compliment ;-)

Yes, the motors can be driven in 24V.
And this would give more speed (not more torque).
And motomonster is not suitable for 24V, indeed.

In fact, the speed is good enough like this (it's too much for some people who tried my sim).

But the 13V tweak, it worthy : extremely cheap and probably a bit better!
(is 10% noticeable ?)

Yours,
Mathieu

hi, Racingmat and everyone!!!
this is really a great project, and i would like to build one too....

the problem is my teacher said that i can't use MotoMonster and any other completed driver motor(I think),
do you have any suggestion about the alternative? building the h-bridge maybe?

Hi Chanzu!

Such a project is interesting for the result: having fun driving a dynamic sim ! :)
but although for learning new knowledges: if you have to build a Hbridge it's feasible!

You will find many explanations on internet! just mind that high current bridges are tricky (specific components, some PCB board design, heat dissipating)

good luck!

Hi Rafaelromero235!

It depends on the code you're using...
If you use my code, you will find everything needed in the first post : part "Xsim setup" screenshots and explanations

At what step are you ? Arduino and windows ok ? serial monitor test with arduino ok ?
