if you are running 12v motors, have you considered the JRKS?
They will handle 30 amps continuous at 12v easy.

Thanks for reply Motion Dave!
Yes, I have also considered this option.
But all I have found close to an explanation of the system is on this thread: viewtopic.php?t=673

Question;
Do I plug the JRK straight to the pc via usb without the need of the k8055 or any other controller?
Do I need 2 JRKS ( one for each axis)?
If 2 JRKs are needed how would they be connected to the PC?
Is there a Diagram from a complete sim with this configuration?

Many Thanks in advance!

JRKS plug in via a usb cable, nothing else, they are contoller and h-bridge in one. No K8055 or anything else needed
1 JRK per motor/axis
JRKS use the utility program to set up some basic PID, feedback and some other functions.
The plug in is for the JRKS to run in x-sim
Depending on what 12v motor you use, we can recommend some basic PID settings to get you moving.
Not really a diagram, apart from the pic for wiring them up, obviously the pot needs to be moved by the motor.
To connect see photo.

Hope this helps a bit.
Yes I know we need a proper JRK thread.
heres a pic showing a pot setup on some motors using single turn pots
Hope this helps a bit.
Cheers, David.

unfortunately no, the limit would be 12v at 200 watts , like these http://www.motiondynamics.com.au/12v-180w.html
ive had them at 38 amps stall , which is like putting 500 watts through them.
Very strong and fast motors, guys here use them or ebay dayton equivalents
A properly balanced frame shouldnt need huge motors, except for nerd on use!
The motors have some KICK!

Big Thanks to Mr.Kevin123.
After fighting for months with my other board just to get pots to read and H-bridge to communicate, programing and more crap, finally darn thing gave up.

But your project gave me hope!
While reading and taking notes from this post I started to sort the hardware needed to replicate the outcome.
Here is where I need some help.

the VM110 according to the Valleman website has been replaced with the VM110N.
Would this be a issue?

also will be buying the Sabertooth 2X12.
Have you tested with something bigger like the sabertooth 2X25?
Thanks in Advance!

Hi Xtech007

As for the K8055 VM110N no problem I used that and it works beautifully :D

Regarding Sabertooth 2x25 could not tell you ... I think that if you use engines higher current ratings than my wiper then I suggest you take 2x25

@kevin123,

How is 2DOF connected to your computer and do you have two computers running? I seen from one build where they use two computers to run it. Also what type of wiper motors did you use? Does it matter what brand of ATX 200watt power supply you use? In your current build what are the arms in the front by the seat and by the pedals?
