To have a global view, can yo confirm that
1: you have mated together the pot and the motor ?
2: you have tried successfully to send orders from Serial Monitor ? and motors move until they reach the position
3: do you see graphs moving in the Math tab ?

If you bought the Motomonster board, the simpliest is to stack it onto Arduino !

If you don't, you have to follow the following pinout :
Arduino and Motomonster have same pin's number !
connect together

Arduino .../...Motomonster
......GND <-> GND pin
........5V <-> 5V
.....pin 4 <-> pin 4
.....pin 5 <-> pin 5
.....pin 6 <-> pin 6
.....pin 7 <-> pin 7
.....pin 8 <-> pin 8
.....pin 9 <-> pin 9

pin 13 is not needed

In the initial post, I've soldered more wires but they are unused wire...

On Arduino pin A4 and A5 connect Pot left and Pot Rigth.

the wire should connect the Arduino's pin 4 to the Motomonster's pin 4
and so on !

Hello mleunam !

In my configuration, the potentiometer's values are "read" by the Analog pins of Arduino .
So, there is no need to connect Anolog pins between Arduino and Motomonster.

Motomonster is an H-bridge without feedback loop capabilities : it doesn't have analog pins.
Arduino tells to motomonster information as "this way" and at "this speed".
This requires only 2 pins for direction and 1 pin for speed per motor : (2+1) x 2 = 6 wires and 5V and GND.

my seup is the same of you, monster motor shield and arduino but i cant send the strings for arduino,
wen i manualy turn the pot to roll one motor, the 2 motor turn with the same pot, i dont know wy
