this is my motor and arduino
one motor (left) is with white cable and the right is with the yellow

try to move them with the hiper terminal
from properties of my computer see what com is the arduino and set the hiper termila to 115000
then sent R54L56 this will move both motor
the R7FL7F wise set the motors at the midlle

Hi,
also got the problem that one motor iss't turining into ohter direction. What you've done? The direction led for the direction which is working lights very bright. But when i turn pot it's switching from bright red into very low green and motor is not inverting.

what is the exactly name of your pcb motor driver?

It's the one from spark fun named "Hummer Driver" with url on it funduino.com but this site is empty
So this moduleis crap?

And i have sticked them together
Without a motor connected led behavior is normal both red and green are ligthed up very bright.
This is only on one channel so i tried both motors on this channel same effect. Without motor connectet 12v are inverted. I also checked the cableing twice.

I have the same to my project and work fine

do not forget to place a heat sink on the chips

Hi,
Installed the Firmware from first post and also installed collingg. Like i said without motors everything is ok.With motors connected one will not reverse. Motors are ok if i connect them directly to psu. Where did you. Fconnect the 5v from psu to arduino?

place some photos of the connections - motors

to sent commands to arduino you must sent R7F for the right motor and L7F for the left (a1)

To test sent with hiperterminal (115000,n,8,1) R90 and then R30 this must go top and then bottom
then R7F to go to middle

(if you sent R80 and then R90 nothing will happen because the values are near An for small differences the controller does not act at any dirrection.)

do you check the psu? that is 12V and more than 10A The motors work at 12 A at 12V supply. and the supply from the the motor must have the same GND with the psu of the arduino.

When you power it the red led will be on The green must be off

do you power the arduino with 5V?
