The Rift won't work with a high angle motion platform. The base movement will be mistaken by the rift IMU as head movement. The IR camera does not have a high enough refresh rate to correct this and actually adds to the problem creating more judder and unwanted view movement.

The GearVR from Samsung can only play games designed for its Galaxy note platform and is unlikely to be able to output g forces for a sim.

The solution is here http://www.vectionvr.com developed by a guy !

The only main problem is that the developer needs to put into the game his library and until niw only 2 games are supported LFS and one more Prepa3D which is on test.

It looks like Valve's Lighthouse is going to be the solution you want:

I hope Damien is ok, his email was hacked I assume as I received a phishing email from his account that had CC all many of his friends... :|

Perhaps he is too busy lately to present any of his progress.

Thanks

Hi. I have vr helmet with 2048×1536 and tracker for motion platform. Price 1200 euro.
The special sensor head rotation - tracker consisting of gyroscope, accelerometer, magnetometer, temperature sensor, a processor with a unique firmware to solve problems with drifting.
• The lens made of optical glass providing mechanical strength and is several times less distortion.
• Special inner part, consisting of foam and eco silicone provides the user with greater hygiene and comfort.
• The design of the helmet shell, you can use it outdoors, as well as with glasses.
• A special fastening system to help you easily and securely fix the helmet on the user's head.
