it should ... but if motor is blocked , intensity is rising high !

So you will perhaps need to insert a 48V (truck/dragster/space shuttle ?) battery between the PSU and the drivers boards to absorb the peaks !

Hello,

Very impressive simulator. I just finished my 2DOF-racesimulator which you can see here:

viewtopic.php?f=37&t=335

But now was looking to add a railsystem below the construction to add a yaw-movement like your simulator has. Where did you get the equipment for the yaw-system?

Thanks in advance and keep up the good work,
Bart

Thanks for the quick reply.

That is indeed what I am talking about, looks good. Would you mind sharing the desingschematics? My students will have to design one for my platform but a good example is always handy. I am planning to use another approach though. I was planning to use a threephasemotor with a big reduction (about 8rpm) and drive directly the center. The contruction would be supported by an axel (see the photo in the attachment, I don't know the correct term). But for a good balance I would like to a supporting wheels that would be incased in a sort of railsystem. But I don't know where you can find such railsystems.

And I see that there is a lot of discussion concerning the motors and drivers. Do you use invertors now? That's what I use and prices are very reasonable and the possibilities almost limitless. I use for instance the Siemens G110. As you can see in the link below they are no so pricy and easy to use.

Greetibs and thanks in advance for the reply,

Hello, I'm the other construction of this project ...
if I understand it you want to know what kind of railsystem we used:
for traction as he mentioned my friend THE CURE is a drive system with
toothed belts with a double reduction ratio, which allows us to have a rotation (at max speed) to 72 degrees per sec.

Traction

We wanted to use those Vulkollan but were too hard and slippery so ...
so now the whole structure is moving on polyurethane wheels with cast iron center (those of traspallet to speak, because they are dimensionally stable even if they remain still for a long time in the same position) .... one of which we have modified to insert ourselves traction;

an example for sampling can be found here ... http://www.tellurerota.com/en/product-range

On the other hand though, if you want to put the engine in the middle you should use the wheels from sliding gate, costuire a circular track and appoggiarcele above ... (the only flaw is that they are intemante metal, so there may arise some noise)

If you want to take example, some video here could be for you ...
you do not see so well but I think it is sufficient to

I hope I was helpful .... greetings and news updates soon ... stay tuned

Hello,

Thanks for the info. I think I am going to take the approach which I explained in an earlier post.

But a question, you say your rotationspeed is max 72° per second. And you say as if it is slow. What speed would you like have. I would think 72° per second is high enough. Or is the acceleration rather low?

Kind regards,
Bart

I explained I'll be bad, since I speak very well in English!!!!

Not at all, it was just a question that I wanted to share ...
for us are more than enough, in fact, think that in the software
keep very low, the KP. ;)

greetings
