Hello kikilxsim!

Yes, you need to upload code to the Arduino.
The code is in the first post!

@kikilxsim

well done so far: your sim is moving :)

but potentiometers are mandatory: they give the position feedback to the drive
- an arduino + Hbridge
- or JRK

re-read the tutorial carefully, you will find explanation! ;)

Hi Mat,

I am from Australia and you have inspired me to follow your build.

I have most parts ready but I am struggling with the motors.

Could you please tell me if these are OK?
Rating Voltage: 12V-13.5V
Rating Power: 100W
No Load Current: 2.0/2.5A
No Load Speed: 30/55 RPM
Load Current: 8.5/10A
Load Speed: 25/50 RPM
Stall Current: 40A (max)
Stall Torque: 50NM (min)

Hi lustigio!

The motors should be
- around 150W
- speed under load 50 / 70 RPM
- Torque minimum 16 Nm

So your motor could be OK because the lower speed can be compensated by a longer lever 70/80mm maybe.
The high torque will allow such longer lever.

I would say it's okay
What is the price?

PS : In Australia, you can easily find motors like this one here http://www.motiondynamics.com.au/worm-d ... orque.html

Thanks so much.
I did come across these motors but it says down the bottom that they have low holding power. Would this affect it when your getting in and out of the seat?

you're right this one is too quick and probably cannot withstand the weight at stop.
I've seen some people building simple articulated stop wedge but I won't advice this indeed...
