ARMO Race sim (start)

Postby amoras10 » Tue 6. Aug 2013, 23:20

Hello all,

Got back to project, but now more advanced ;],
i already got my electric stuff, now the big question is where to get proper schematic, how to connect all and test,
after that i already have drawings for my rig.

Now i have:
Arduino uno r3 with atmega328p-pu

10K POT

H-DRIVE from ebay
TOP view H-drive

H-Drive bottom side of motor connection in and?

12V is from computer power supply (650w)

I was using these drivers and connection schematic:

But NO result at all.

First, arduino installed and set to 57600 in com port settings (windows)
Second, i downloaded from x-sim
viewtopic.php?f=39&t=723 firmware and uploaded to arduino uno threw software (arduino)

Third i did connections for 1motor as shown i that picture or arduino post
viewtopic.php?f=39&t=723

Result NOTHING :(((((

SO GUYS :] help me to connect correctly everything, i think that i connect arduino correctly, uploaded firmware too, but

but question is which positions and which wires to connect on H-DRIVE???? Maybe you can provide me some paintings how to connect correctly???

thnx everyone for support.

You did read the post?
Especially the part below the schematic and the part of the wiring information and where you can find it?
This bridge is not compatible with the firmware, you have to change the output code to drive such a device. The PID part will be the same.

No, I can't. You must program it by yourself.
This are only about 4 more lines in the output code. You have to get into what this bridge needs and then you have to set the correct bits.

What do you think about the subsection "H-Bridge reqirements:" in the post you should read?

Hi, these H-Bridges can be used with the Arduino XPID firmware.

You need to:
1. connect the H-Bridge R_EN and L_EN pins together and link to the Arduino XPID PWM output
2. connect the H-Bridge RPWM to the Arduino XPID INPUT1
3. connect the H-Bridge LPWM to the Arduino XPID INPUT2

There is a schematic for the H-Bridge attached for confirmation...

I have got the exact same hardware as yours. There is no problem using this H-Bridge with X-PID. The connection described by Armos is correct.
Please share your Sim building progress with us. Thanks
