Hi all,

Some news from my simulator.
I changed the mounting for my sensors. They were originally mounted directly at the output gearbox shaft .Now I made a system to attach the sensor directly on the gearbox. The movement is provided from the output shaft to the sensor with 2 pulleys and a belt.
Some pics below.

And with new system I made a new video .I optimized parameters and increased angle range effects ( pitch , roll) into the 6dof plugin in xsim.

Here the video.Enjoy !

6DOF looks very nice!
How is the FFB?
Wheel looks interesting, and cost effective design I think.
Great job.

Hi Arno,

Here is the link on the french forum: http://www.racingfr.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=47981

You can set the ffb as strong as you want .you can set it like a normal ffb wheel (logitech , fanatec etc...) or like a real car .
If you was wanting building a ffb wheel you would have to use an Argon Inverter instead the vsd (e) from Granite Device .Because the vsd (e) isn't anymore produced by Granite. But Granite just finished to develop a new one less expensive than the Argon named Ioni. Now we have to wait this one or use the Argon .
For information an Argon Inverter it's about 450€ , the ioni 170€ and ths vsd was about 250€.

Thank you for the information.
I have been following on racingfr as well. :)
Your 6DOF is very impressive and very quiet.
I read about the Ioni and hope that it would be suitable, that would be a lot cheaper indeed.
I think that my g27 wheel is not too bad at the moment, but the pedals, even with the spring conversions are terrible.
I am hoping that the PT-1 are coming out soon, so that I can try them out.

Still waiting to build my 6DOF, until then, I bought a seat to tie me over.
I see you are now on Asseto Corsa, I went there as well a few months ago.
I was tired of having to keep tweaking Rfactor, and never quite got it right.
