Best motion software available

Postby Reggieone » Sun 26. Jan 2014, 02:29

I started getting involved in Sim racing about five months ago. I researched different options for month. Inside Racing was one of my best resources. I knew lots about computers so that was the easy part. I built a game computer from scratch.

I had all this done while we were in Montana during the summer months. I purchased at CSR steering wheel, elite pedals and a inexpensive cockpit for 299.00.
When we got back to our home in Mexico, I have a great welder and I put him to work on some pictures and concepts I had in mind and you can see the results. I'm all set to put on my new motion actuators. I was just about ready last week to purchase them fromsim experience but after some e-mails with them asking some technical pre-order questions and shipping times. I just didn't feel warm fuzzies with them. I felt if I was getting slow response times on quick easy answer questions. How would they operate if I had a real problem? So I backed off. I know I want the SCN5 150mm Motion actuators. I'm thinking about purchasing them from a distributor and making my own power supply and USB connection. My welder can also make the dampening holders. The software I will use is X Sim motion software. Even though this interface is a little more techie I don't mind that. I'm not making this decision because of the difference in price even though this is a couple of hundred dollars less.
Support when you have a problem is important to me and I just didn't feel that withsim experience. If any of you have had any warranty issues with them I sure wish you would let me know if you were pleased or not and what would you grade them on performance. A, B, C, D, “not good”
I haven't given up on them entirely yet. sim commander Motion simulator software interface looks pretty intuitive. So I'm tempted to go with them because of that.

Hi there, nice setup. A nice "engine".

It is difficult to compare. There is a full time job versus hobbyists ;) Commercials look for where they can live from, not new inventions. Copy/Paste and take the noise in the world to them. There is a unfair compare. So we block such compares who has the longest one and do our hobby as we like. This is not the place to complain about others, they have own support forums.
In case of "too techi" interfaces: Yes.
X-Sim is designed to meet virtual reality simulators, racingsimulators and flight simulators. The graphic driver is such a part to be used in 3rd persons games. Some changes are done some monthes ago with the simulator and game wizard but not finished. We have here the rule, that if someone has an idea how to make it more easy, or comfortable, he can bring in his wishes. Additionally the requester need to offer some time to test his changed parts. Without help the wishes are not followed.
So everyone can feel free to help us here. It is a community work and represents the wishes of many.
