Long time no see!
The second axis (Pitch) is on the way...giant gears, driving shaft and chain sprockets are done.
Also some modifications on the Mainframe. Now i have to build it all together.
And after that i try something really completely different :-)

It´s about the old story: This pit can only simulate attitude not Gs.
So i go through the suject and may have a real good solution:
I plan to enhance the 5 point Seatbelt with a tensioner and 8 cables!
4 of this cables are connected (sewed) in 4 mesh 25cm tubes, which are fitting easy over forearms and thighs.
The 4 others are connected to the installed Seatbelt and sewed on shoulder, neck and belly.
Without Gs in the plane you can move all extremities as usuall - the cables are loose.
Now when you pull and let´s say 2 positiv Gs are on, the 8 cables winding up and pulling your extremities to the bottom.
You still can lift your forearm for nose picking, but you need a little force to do so (about 2kg).
When you´re pulling 8 Gs, the cables just nail you´re hole body and extremities in the seat with up to 40kg force.
This should creat a good "simulation" of Gs.
At least you don´t suffer a Blackout, cause you Blood is still in the Head.
Also your stomache won´t spin up-side-down, what some people may appreciat :-D
The good thing on this "Puppetmaster" is: It´s works pinpoint in all attitudes.
So even when you´re flying inverted and start pulling, you will have the (realistic) "feelling" your Body is pushed into the Seat!

At the moment I´ll try to re-code the arduino software to generate the right forces (not position like befor).
Uhhhh and i´m thinking about a emergency cable cutter, for sure!

asticher -

Sehr gut!!

Keep working on the stick, I'm keen to see how you go with seperate aileron/ elevator forces.
Are you using the X-Sim FFB?

Danke

Update: I added a Export lua with a 360° Pitch position finally!
https://drive.google.com/open?id=14ZJzK ... q1lrF7J0qb

Look for pitch_final. May this is usefull for you.
Value is now +0 to 3,14 and -3,14 to -0
Also i added a quarter detection (quarter_final), so you alway knows in what Quarter Pitch your AC is.

I try to use this Quarters now, to cancel the bank flip.
Therefor i switch to relative roll value (acc_x in m/s) when the roll flip zone advances.

Heads UP Pilots!

With this Export.lua for DCS World you can counter this Effekt!
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Z7dsO ... EkotDJPCys

You can make forward / backward / inverted loops as you like,
For example, you can cancel the climb at 80° PitchUp,
You can even roll a bit at 90° pitch,
You can go up to 4 degrees off the track through the vertical.
If you don´t hit vertical, the "normal" Bankflip occours and Pitch will decrease as "normal".
Some rare miss behaviors and small stutters are still a issue, but you know...

Have Fun!

Hola, yo tambien quiero armar un simulador de 2 DOF 360 grados de libertad. Me podes pasar las vueltas finales de pich y roll y las reductoras que relacion tienen como la potencia de los motores. Muchas gracias

Engine reference

Postby Flight » Fri 9. Aug 2019, 11:06

Hello Asticher, to continue the discussion started in mp is what you could provide me the excate reference of Transtecno engines because I do not find the model on their site based on the information provided on the forum. Thank you in advance;

Roll Axis:
https://www.transtecno.com/en-en/gearbo ... otor-ecmb/
Gearbox ECMG 600/02 2 U 29.93 D25 240 T1
Actuator: EC 600.240 800WS2 3000rpm 24V 71 B14 (strongest available)
Actuator input flange: 71B14

Pitch Axis:
https://www.transtecno.com/en-en/gearbo ... tors-ecmg/
Gearbox CMB 633 U 47.16 D25 71 B14 M1
Actuator: EC 600.240 800WS2 3000rpm 24V 71 B14 (strongest available)
Actuator input flange: 71B14
Attention! I connected the Gearbox with a chain drive to the Pitchaxis, ratio 1:2 (so halfes rpm)

For order contact:
giulia.tugnoli@intecno-srl.com..

You have to run a (small) business or they won´t deliver.

Attention!
Actuators may not fit for your sim. Much depending on centre of gravity, Power source, H-Bridge, Basketweight, Pilots weight, Chains and so on.
You have to calculate the needed Nm for each axis. Then look at the tables from transtecno and look for this Nm value.
Now you know ratio and the rpm with load. If rpm is to low, just choose gearbox with higher rpm (max. +20%).
This will work because the DC Actuators can be overdriven by 100% PWR. However the gearbox will suffer a little bit.
Don´t never ever choose wormgear drives! They are selflooking. This will cause stutters, jitters and finally they just breakdown.
