2DOF first simulator

Postby alexulrich1977 » Fri 2. Nov 2018, 17:13

Hi,

Here is my first DOF driving simulator :

The actuators are 2 SEW 3x220V AC motoreductors + 1x220-->3x220V drivers.
The sensors for the angular positions are non-contacting direction/step encoders 512ppr.
The 2 white gear wheels are 3D printed.

The computer in an home made box ...

And the electronic board :

It's based on a Microchip 18F47K40 chip with a USB/RS232 converter for the data transmission.
The board and the software were designed by me. (Eagle + MPLAB)

The game I am using is GTR2 and it's working pretty well !

Ohhh man!!! Nice sim, pretty cool design.
One thing tell me you are alex from Strasbourg, DTC man!!!
I'm Gerard from Barcelona, Jarto Jartorius rider, I was designing my own 3DOF sim few years ago I not conected here a long time ago. I'm in trouble with my super powered 24v dc motors, they have starting peak of 120a each one, a f**ing disaster, i'm looking maybe to pass to ac motors but is another inversion again.
Nice design yours and the board looks amazing!!!
