Dam :!:
I wasn't able to generate 1.8 jiga Watts for my delorian time machine sim,
which was needed to go back to ten days ago to post that message.

oh, joking aside.
This stater motor is a motorbike stater motor so its not too big to kill.
I have an idea for it, which I will be sharing soon. ;)

Sorry upfront as this has absolutely nothing to do with the original title "Arduino Open Source X-PID firmware" but still it's fun:

I have actually seen this train simulator here. There is also a description on the site of the supplier of the electric actuators here. It's all in German unfortunately but it might give you still some insights.

In case you're interested to run trains on the moving driver's cab simulation platform yourself you can book half a day here :D

I think it would be easier to become a real train driver, than building a train :D

Thanks, I was just kidding about the train, ;)
but I am surprised that I haven't seen much discussion about train sims before this.

In the meantime, I am laying more solder onto the wires of the motor driver to beef it up,
and help it cope with the heat ..

getting off topic here.
The graphics driver should find motion out of almost any game.
Granted, I haven't transferred the motion to a sim, but I got data out of Duke Nukem Forever, first person shooter , and I have also heard that data can be found in Hawken.
I have been looking at the graphics driver for Flaout 2 as well.
More than likely , with a stage 2 key, you should be able to find data in the train sim.

Back to the ard topic.

@Sirnoname
Hi, i just received my arduino nanoV3.0 and it works great ! :D
But you said , we can connect more than 1 board at the time ! i want to connect two boards for having 4 motors but the converter detect only 1.
1 on COM7 and the other on COM8
Any solution ? :?

Thanks

So you cant see the one on Com Port 8. ?

yah ! affirmative ! Separately they works but when i connect the both and i make a rescan Xsim detect only one (COM7) :o
any idea ?

thanks
Eric

* when i hit the button rescan , i see Xsim communicate with the both . (blinking led on nano board) but after xsim show only one ! :?

Yes, cut the reset line of the arduino (328p) and place there a resistor to 5V, perhaps as switch.
There must be some todos for that in the internet.
The reset is only needed for flashing with the arduino GUI.
I hope you use the latest plugin?

In fact motiondave, my "real" next project I want to work on is actually a mech sim, because, did you *.
mechs and robots are very popular in japan!

So I am quite interested in getting data out of Hawken.
I think it would be amazing to try it together with occulus !

Please refer to my project page, for an update on my starter motor experiment.
