Mr. Prilad ,
Once again I turn to you for your Aid!
I have been using your firmware, with thanos avr Board and X-sim to get my sim to move (2 12DC wiper motors). Still working the kinks!

While doing some work in the frame, It came to me !!
Why not a 360 rotation sim! got Ideas from : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JrvLWvcMhc

I have followed the thread for a while but no answer from the designer.
presenting-free-roll-free-pitch-simulator-t2786.html

From what I can Make up is:
2 servo motor with encoders and drivers with gear reduction 90:1 ( 1.5KW per axis)
For controller they used a msp430 Microcontroler and X-sim.
I contacted the servo Motor manufacturer and they provided me with the Specs Datasheet.

This is where I need your Help
If I was to get this Drivers would I be able to Use the same setup of Thanos AVR and your Firmware?
On the attachment on Pg 31 specifies external Position and Speed Control, and PG 17 signal type.
I'm really exited about this new Project, But I have no Experience on this type of Drivers or Motor or how they are controlled.

Your Help would be Greatly appreciated!

Greetings, :D
I have using AMC16_mega644_18mHz_byALE_fix3 with xSimCTRLv2.2eng about three weeks now and I can’t the Y axis motor to go from CW to CCW, it remains in CW no matter what I do. The only way you can get it to go into CCW is manually exchange the leads on the motor driver. It worked with Tronic’s program. The X axis motor works fine. I’ve exchanged motor drivers and motors with the X axis and they check out fine . I’ve checked all the wiring from the AVR 1.6 to the motor drivers with a multimeter and all checked out fine . Motors have been exchanged. Is there something I missed? Also what about “AleGRAPH setup” (see attachment) any thing to worry about there?

I'm sorry, Xtech007, but my firmware for AMC1.6 does not support 360 gr rotation..

Hi, jsmith2307.
I have only one idea - do you connect BOTH feedback potentiometers to X and Y axis? If Y potentiometer do not connected correctly, Y motor will rotate only to one direction...
Can you make screenshots with working xSimCTRLv2 (when sending and receiving data is ON)?

"AleGRAPH setup" dialog do not help you in this case. It may be used only for setting graphics parameters - limits, colors, ets..

Ale

Hi, jsmith2307!

The trouble looks like missing direction contact. When "PWM Value" at the screen changed sign, direction pins must change levels. Can you check it? And what H-Bridge do you use? Connection diagram?

Ale

Greetings, :D
I'm using a pair of Pololu High Power motor drivers 24v23.

When "PWM Value" at the screen changed sign, direction pins must change levels. Can you check it?

:?: Please explain how to do this! :?:

Hm... Connecting diagram is ok... I don't know, but you can check with multimeter (voltmeter) potential on pin DIR (p1d1). It must change level from +5V to 0V and back when PWM is changed sign.

And one more thing - you can try to change connection to DIR pin from p1d1 to another control pin from pair..

That was the next question, can I exchange DIR pin for p1d1 with out blowing the AMC 1.6 up?
