Greetings, :D
I downloaded the FTISP for AMC1.6 1.1f both crystals.zip! I ran both crystal speeds and changed out the associated capacitors. Both programs gave me fits and convulsions. I could not calibrate either axis at the start-up no matter what I did. Then, I experimented with the third potentiometer on the LCD it indicated 95% and progressed down to 5% between the numerous automatic restarts. The screen on the LCD displayed squares and lot s of $ signs etc. before finally coming to rest.
My AMC 1.5 did not react in such a way. Please advise!

I had the same problems I changed the crystal to 18,432 MHz and the problems are gone

Hi Thanos :
a small question Pls... regarding the AMC1.6 board before you stop supporting it .

As per some of us may not find the ATMEAGA644 MCU OR to be shipped for him by mistake another ATMEAGAxxxx MCU ... like ne02005 had the ATMEGA1284P on that board layout and the corresponding FW and crystal and worked with him ...
viewtopic.php?f=39&t=132&start=120#p1761

could this be made for the ATMEGA8535 ... can we use it's excising FW and the Alt. one ?
(Y/N ) pls. advice ...

thanks for your patient and understanding ...
Best regard
some one else ;)

Here it is:
FTISP for AMC1.6 ATmega8535 1.1g 18.4320 crystal.zip
(11.35 KiB) Downloaded 658 times

I have no way to test it myself... And not sure that the fuses settings in the batch file will work like in the ATmega644... So try first the "progfrm.bat" and if needed the "progfrm - fuses.bat". I cannot guarantee that it wont probably set wrong fuses and mess-up the clock speed...

Greetings, :D
I am writing about the AMC 1.6. I‘ve got problems calibrating my motors with both the 18.xxx and associated capacitors and the 22.xxx with associated capacitors. I’ve been using FTISP for AMC1.6 1.1f both crystals. I’ve mixed the capacitors, tried new crystals nothing works. Let me describe …In the math section of the setup, I get a readout from the LCD telling me I’ve got communication . I then go to slider to calibrate the offset of the axis with good LCD communication. I then proceed to where the motor pauses, but when I continue, it is supposed to reverse direction. It doesn’t, the motor pauses but no direction change. The direction reversal occurs a little bit further, outside the area of the pause, but it occurs as a jump, no pause. It does this in both the asymetric and symetric ranges. Please advise!

A video of the behavior would be very helpful to understand what is wrong with your setup. Also it would be nice to see how you connected to feedback potentiometers on the motor!

The feedback potentiometers are wired the same way as the AVR1.5, no problem on that one! I even reversed wired them to see if that was the problem!
Also, I reverted back to X-Sim2 to check if that was the problem. I guess it wasn't.
