I'm very new here and was wondering if anyone makes a kit or at least a pcb for this?
My apologies if this has already been answered somewhere. I could not find it.
Many thanks for any help provided.

it would be better to give us a link to the your driver page, or it full name. I think that all lines Dir- and PWM- is GND lines. And this board have not VCC input because it powered from 12..24 V (and has internal DC/DC from 12V to 5V).

Hi Guys,

Seeing as we are on the interfacing of motor controllers, I would like to ask something as well. I actually sent Tonic a PM regarding the below stuff, but I am not sure if I did it right and if he even received the message, so I am posting it directly in the forum. Maybe he or someone else with some knowledge on this can help me out ;)

Here is the message I sent:

I am just about done with my sim, but my current pololu h-bridge is not cutting it, as I constantly pull more than 30 amps, causing the pololu to overheat. As I mentioned in another post, my steel construction is now biting me in the ass a bit..

Never the less, I am now looking for a bigger better H-bridge, and seeing as I use your AMC to drive my sim, I thought you would be the right person to ask about it.

I am currently considering getting 2 of the following driver:
http://www.cytron.com.my/viewProduct.php?pcode=MDS40A&name=SmartDrive40.
You can see in the user documentation (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ci15i9V2i07QjbXzaiQeLqGm9bhbnxeUvu_0p8mwMV8/edit) that it requires a lot less pins to drive it than what I have coming from the AMC, so my question to you is whether I can use this with the AMC or not?

If you can maybe just reply with a yes or a no, I would at least know that I can spend the money and get it over and done with.

Another option as well is the sabertooth 60A dual controller (http://www.robotmarketplace.com/products/0-SABERTOOTH2X60.html), and although it is VERY expensive, if it will work and sort out my problems I will get it.

Apologies for bugging you with these stupid questions, but I just need to check with you that it will work before wasting any more money ;)

Thank you very much for your help my friend, hope to hear from you again soon!

Hi Cherio's. Your link to the driver board isn't working as it's been shortened. Hopefully this is what you were linking to http://www.cytron.com.my/viewProduct.php?pcode=MDS40A&name=SmartDrive40.

I would also suggest that you take a look at the driver boards listed on the third page of the "Arduino Open Source X-PID firmware" thread.

Thanks Roadster, that is the one yes!

I am looking for anything that can handle a minimum of 40A at 12V continuously or preferably about 60A, with the occasional 100A or so burst. If you have any links that you can recommend that you know will work with Tonic's AMC, please post it :). I just want my sim to be finished... lol!

Thanks so much for the help!

I am currently using the ZYT90-155-12 motors. Nice and strong ;). If I can only get some nice current to them that would help... lol.

I have the same motors and was contemplating two of these Dual Motor Driver boards - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330854284636?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 but having seen these linked to in the other forum I may be tempted to go for four of these instead as they will handle a higher current - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321045121657?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649.

Both of these should work with the AMC board and I know that Thanos has tested the first board linked to.
