Hi Alonso ,

I don't know if Thanos will be agree with , but you should peharps use the 18.... Mhz crystal instead the 22..Mhz.

Sir i have installed the x-sim software but its not giving me full access to its features. Can you tell me how can i buy the full version.
When i open x-sim extractor it give me the message:
""X-sim server not reachable, the free version of X-sim need community profile database..........""
what to do??

Tried to program with windows 7. At this point just waiting for new chip to arrive. I will also change the crystal down to 18mhz.

Thanos is this the correct part number for the chip.

Hi ,
Yes it's correct for the chip.Try before with the same chip with 18...Mhz crystal.

I had to order the 18 MHZ Chrystal so once i get it i will report back.

Guys i was trying to get a signal out of the crystal to see if if system is working at all. I get no signal at all from crystal, i should have something there right?

The crystal used is passive, meaning that the microcontroller will pulse it and wait for return pulse to synchronize its clock. You can't get pulse directly from the crystal...

And make sure the crystal you get is exactly 18.432 Mhz with 18pf-22pf capacitance.

O.k. i got the chip to program. I ordered FT232RL from china but was taking to long to get here so i ordered the one form sparkfun. For some reason that was the faulty problem. I had jumper-ed the board to be 5 volts but still was not good. Well the Chinese part arrived today. Put it on the board and it worked. Thanos and Vicpopo thanks for all your help.
