The 5% is the limit to each direction, so if you have 180 degrees position sensor:

180/2 = 90

90 - 5% = 85.5 degrees

Total allowed degrees will be 85.5 * 2 = 171 degrees!!

Using the same concept you can reduce a 270 degrees potentiometer to 180 degrees, but you must remember that you should expect less resolution available. This function is there to do micro fine calibration not to abuse!

Thanks man, now I can undestand it !!

So if I let in 95% total allowed degrees will be 4.5 * 2 = only 9 degrees !! Is that right ?

Hi all,

Can someone say me if it would works

If I burn the AMC 1.5 firmware in the Atmega644 and put the 644 on the AMC 1.6 board will it works or the comunication protocol is not compatible ?

I want do this, because I want the 1023 pot positions of AMC 1.5 back into the AMC 1.6. With 255 positions my simulator behaves like a robot (square movements) and the gear shake effect works with a lot of delay (as if I have pressed the clutch for a while and then released.

when I shift gear the seat moves forward but doesn't move backward instantly as expected. With AMC 1.5 it doesn't happen.

If anyone can give some help I would thank !
