So this card does only the work to take ffb signals and translate them into motor signal or works also as a controller interface like MJoy16?

Its an interface for the motors only. Not a joystick. But you could use it for a FFB joystick I guess, the principle is the same,

1. just use a simple USB joystick and attach some dc motors on it with a direct drive gearbox with low torque (not worm drive, so you can back drive it).
2. drive the dc motors with signals from the AMC1.6 ... (acceleration forces)

3. done... ;)

Good afternoon , friends !

I have a little problem and need your help .

Rode my AMC 1.6 , used a FT232RL board that is not but Sparkfun china http://dx.com/pt/p/ft232rl-usb-2-0-to-s ... xXk985XpOk for communication usb , installed the firmware 1.1h of AMC1.6 for crystal 22Hz , I've used the terminal application and I can see the responses of pot 1 and 2 , but I can not put the USE settings of x -sim converts digit settings and the KPX kpy strins , restart the plate and nothing ever did as videos by thanos typed just like the KP ~ 255 ~ ~ ~ 3 ~ 3 ~ or ~ 255 AB ~ ~ ~ ~ a02 ~ a01 and etc information . but the values in my AMC change are not the same.

Have a command to insert these line or just type and reset the board they already accept , I have tried everything to enter and enter without enter, tip it and nothing fits ! Does anyone have any tips or know what can be ? Xsim used the controller and put the option to send information to AMC where he is varying iformações on the X and Y axes , and I realize that the information is changing the lcd of my AMC ( remember I'm not using the firmware Alesoft ) .

So what would be the problem in this communication.

Thank you.

Change the crystal to 18.432Mhz one and try again. The latest firmwares are only for 18.432Mhz crystal.!!! The 22Mhz crystal is not stable for some batches of these ATmega644 chips...

Thanks

Thanos, I'm following your work and x-sim since a long time.
I've done your first amc board with success, but I never had time to build a working simulator...

Now, I think I'll have enough time to start... And I found your new boards, but..

Are Optolink and SMh-bridge2.2 design files released to make the PCBs for myself ?

However hard i try it, I cannot find them. I've read the 42 pages of this thread, and seems to not be here. Neither a google search came with results.

Maybe you never released the files, but I can see in the page number 15, a very nice board done by Gilles.. So, I'm a bit confused.

Please, let me *
Daniel.

You mean to extend the range of values from 1..2..3..4..5 etc..?

Is your motor too fast? Is it bouncing forth and back? on the lowest setting (3)?
