NO .. NO .. just for presenting test materials that are not expensive to be afraid to make errors with ...
OK .. I think my point is clear now ... motor selection as per given numbers aren't hard ... but to make that motor do the job, that's hard ...!!

Unloaded it was speed up slowly. It was a e-scooter type like this:

It had 2 lead acid batterys 12 volt each with 14AH. The motor was a 250watt 24 volts running through a simple speed controller.

The specs i found on the internet:
- Model # MY1016
- Output: 250 Watts
- 24 VDC
- Rated current: 13.5 Amps
- Rated speed: 2650 RPM
- 4 holes on bottom bracket to mount to scooter
- 11 tooth gear for # 25 chain
- casing of the motor measures 3inches deep x 4 inches in diameter
- shaft is 1 inch long

This motor was a bit slow at the start and had not so much power, but after a few seconds, on full speed it has some power (and noise  ). It could be that the speed controller reduced it's speed at the start.

dearn - Thanks. Did you ever have the motor off the scooter on a bench, or were your tests only with it on the scooter? Also, did you ever try testing it without the speed controller?

Code: Select all
