Hi vicpopo

What about the DBK-HT Dual Motor Drivers that Thanos provided a link to -

see eBay Item Number - 221043792022

Quote "The DBK-HT Dual motor driver is based on Dual BTS7970 chips forming h-bridge capable of 68A currents. These chips have integrated protection against overheating, overcurrent and overvoltage."

Thanos has tested one of these, although not with one of the 180W motors, but looking at the specification these boards should work Ok.

Possibly the future in motion controllers?

Postby vicpopo » Mon 10. Sep 2012, 16:00

Hi Roadster2,
It isn't maybe the good topic to discuss about this. The moderators should be put it in an another topic.
I bought 2 single h-bridge hd02 I believe and I burned the 2!
I bought this dual but I don't know if I will test it with these motors.
The ebayseller did me 30% off on it because I burned the 2 single h-bridge.It's the reason why I try to find a DIY h-bridge which I could replace burned mofset or anything else.
Regards

could this opto isolator handle usb as well?

No, USB signals are using tight timing that optocouplers can't handle. Instead you could use something like this:

or this:

Hi to all,

The donation exceeded the $97 target. It was $108 !!

I'm amazed that the donation amount target was reached in just 2 days!!! Thank you all very much! I'll order it now and I'll use the extra money from the donation to order two optoisolator boards from futurelec as well!!

I'll keep you informed about the development project. I'll open a new thread about it as soon as I have the dev board in my hands and implement some basic routines.

Best Regards,
Thanos

Possibly the future in motion controllers?

It seems I read the post to late... probably someone would like to kill me.

Last June a friend ask for my Port407V, is a Cortex-
M4 for programming practices.

Why?

No worries... the Open107v dev board is enough to start developing the motion control main application and can be ported later to better microcontroller if needed.
